Install docker (note the "Install using the repository" part here)Īdd your current user to docker so you don't have to use sudo all the time sudo usermod -aG docker your-user("your-user" is, well, the name of the user you are currently logged in) If you have a monitor connected to the server the desktop variant is okay but if you don't have a monitor and would have to do that remotely then you can just use the ubuntu-server variant and install the oppenssh-server while you install the server. I think the question here is rather how you access the server. You probably want to use ubuntu-desktop instead of the server variant because of the interface though, with docker, you will most likely spend more time in console.
